Cait, Christie and Argus.

After the Airedale Quilting Bee members decided on the Circus theme, I volunteered to do a sketch to show how the idea might look if it were made into a single large quilted picture. Each person who volunteered to make a block sent me an idea of what circus activity they would like to portray. I sketched a big tent and realized that only a few of the activities could actually fit inside. So the rest of the circus acts would need to go either in the foreground or even on top of the tent! The other members of the Bee sent me photos of circus tents, fire-eaters, unicycles and balancing acts as inspiration for the drawing of the circus sketch. That original sketch was the result of a wonderful group effort.
