Jeri and Bentley.

Well, I guess you can call me the "lucky one" - I get to work with all these talented ladies each year as they conjure up another beautiful work of art.  These wonderful fiber artists teach me each and every day and inspire me to go further with my own quilting (did I mention I didn't even know how to quilt when I joined the Bee).

I live with my husband, Ron and our 6 year old Airedale - "Bentley" in Boca Raton, Florida.  We also have 2 wonderful Quarter Horses - a 22 yr old gelding that has been with me since he was 3 years old and a 6 year old gelding that has been with us since he was 2 years old.  We're in the process of building a new home just north of Gainesville, Florida where the horses and Bentley can enjoy 8 beautiful acres of natural Florida.  And I get a real sewing studio and a barn - what more can a woman want - except that we raise more funds for those Airedales in Rescue.

I'm what you call the Bee Keeper for the Airedale Quilting Bee.  Myself and Holly Coes take care of the day to day running of the Bee.  We make sure that the projects are on time and that each Bee member is on track for what they are scheduled to do for each project.   I've learned so much by being in the Bee and I've also met some wonderful women within the Bee, I consider them to be dear friends.  Being the Beekeeper has also allowed me to meet and work with some of the many outstanding people in the Airedale Community.

If at any time any of you out there, reading this would like to talk to me about joining the Bee or helping with the Quilt promotions, please contact me at airemail@bellsouth.net (pretty spiffy email address, huh ;> ).

Now, go enjoy the blocks and buy lots of tickets because this quilt is truly a work of art.

NOTE:

Jeri not only usually makes a block but fills in wherever is needed. For "Cirque du Sol' Aire"  she did the machine embroidery for two of the blocks.
