OcTOBer´s Friday is a 98 lb, 1&1/2-2 year old male who was found wandering loose in
Pueblo West, Colorado. A concerned family secured "Big Boy" (as they called him) and contacted Lisa Simon
of Rocky Mountain Airedale Rescue of Colorado on the last day of September 2004. Toby came into RMARC´s
care on the first Friday of October -- ergo his name. Toby had never been groomed in his life nor was he
neutered. He was well-fed but had a pronounced yeast infection in both ears. He was released with no
identifying tags and a collar cinched so tightly that he cried when it was removed. We thought for a
moment of calling him Marley because of his dreadlocks but then reconsidered and thought that Toby was
a far better name. Toby lived with three other Airedales and three cats in an RMARC foster home for
a period of one week until he was able to go to his new forever home in Colorado Springs on the 8th of
October. Toby's new family includes three children and a wonderful new mom and dad. Toby is a sweet,
big boy who quickly became part of the family/pack at his foster home. He has a very gentle disposition
and his prey instinct is low witnessed by the fact that the three cats at the foster home didn't change
their routine for a moment. With just a week's worth of training Toby was walking on leash at heel,
sitting on command and coming to his new name. OcTOBer´s Friday -- another beautiful Rocky Mountain giant.
