Past Coverdale
Last September, there was "room at the inn" and time to get a brother for [Airedale] Ruby. No one had a pup! And, that is how Petey came into our lives ... there was a family that couldn't handle or deal with an Airedale puppy properly; who had to find him a new home ~ what we didn't know was just how much this poor puppy needed us to Rescue him. He was starved -- at 7 months you could see every vertebrae...and I could pick him up and flung him over my shoulder....and he was so scared...the owners had been feeding him 1 cup of kibble a day. damn them! And they were letting him run loose on 49 acres - during hunting season. We took our boy home.....cried a bit and started getting to work to get him well. It took some time - clostridium, ghiardia. whip, hook - you name it! But, oh, so worth it!!!!!!!!! We all fell in love, mostly Ruby!
