Artist's comments:

Expert hunters from the banks of the River Aire they have made their presence known the world over. At times, it can be a truly "hare" raising experience owning a ADT. I work in ADT rescue and all temperaments of dogs walk through these doors, most looking for love, food, a warm bed, and a permanent place to call home. Open your hearts and homes and join the crusade, Rescue a ADT!

Artist's Bio:

Connie lives in Salem, Oregon and has been rescuing Airedales for 11 years. She is the Northwest Coordinator for Airedale Terrier Rescue, covering the states of WY, MT, ID, OR and WA. Northwest Rescue has placed over 300 Airedales.

Connie just returned from Bozeman, MT, where she was helping out with other breed rescues for dogs lost and injured in the fires. There were 7 Airedales displaced because of the fires in Montana. Two were owned by a women who was dying of cancer and lost her home to the fire. Three were 12- week-old puppies that the breeder couldn't sell because people could not afford to buy dogs or have the time to care for them. Two were strays that were never reclaimed by their owners. All have been placed.

Connie's dog family consists of:

Connie's human family consists of husband, Gordon, two children and four grandchildren.

Connie and her husband love going to Crufts every other year and she feels that every Airedale lover should make a point of visiting the land of their origin.

Northwest Rescue (i.e., Connie & her husband) does not request funds from the National ATCA Rescue and we really appreciate that she took the time from all of her activities to contribute a block to this year's quilt.
