Artist's comments:

My quilt square shows an airedale looking out at us through a computer monitor. Around the airedale are the names of many of the different airedale related discussion email groups. It is because of the existence of these groups that projects such as this quilt even exist. Technology has allowed hundreds of people from around the world to gather to discuss their joys & heartaches, ask questions & give suggestions, and basically share the love of their breed, the AIREDALE. Many of us have made lifelong friends, we have raised thousands of dollars to help rescue homeless 'dales, and most importantly, have found out we are not alone. There are others who understand tuckbuttruns, beardslime, bignosepokes, and countersurfing! There are airedale crazy people throughout the world and the computer has given us the means to come together!

Artist's bio:

I share my home and life with two rescue boys. Keeper, my juvenile delinquent airedale, and Sam, an airedale/lab mix (who the song, "You're Too Good to Be True", was written about). I've also fostered 4 homeless 'dales for ATRA over the last couple of years, which has been the most emotionally rewarding thing I have ever done.

I have waaaaaaaay too much stuff I'd like to do to have time to work full time, but unfortunately none of it would support me and the boys. I enjoy sewing, painting, and just crafts in general. I am an avid reader, like to play on the computer and although you wouldn't know it by looking at my yard this year, I love to garden! To keep the dogs in treats and gas in the van for those ATUR runs, I work for the State of Michigan determining eligibility for public assistance programs. I also am on the Board of Directors for my local Humane Society and produce our quarterly newsletter.

Guess that about covers the life and times of ex-city girl, now country bumpkin, Linda Cunningham.
