I live in Kitchener,
Ontario with my husband Tim, my toddler Ben and my rescue 'dale Trudi.
We lost our almost 10 yr old rescue boy Teddy during the time I was
working on this quilt block so the square depicting both of our 'dales
has special meaning for me and I've included a few of Teddy's hairs
under the 'dale that's not completely in the block.
My
block shows Teddy and Trudi chasing a rabbit as they so often have done
in our yard. The rabbit always gets away by finding a spot under the
fence, but that never kept the dogs from trying their best!
I'm one of three rescue coordinators in Ontario and we're experiencing our
busiest year ever. There never seems to be an end to the need for
funds and volunteers. Thanks to fundraisers like this quilt project
many needy rescue 'dales can receive necessary medical care and hope for
a bright future!
