| In Memory of Duke the dog, our dog, whose space in our hearts will remain forever filled by his love and his loyalty. We took pride in his obedience, and pleasure in his disobedience. He had a gentle spirit, and an exuberant personality. He was tender with his people and his animal friends, and zealous with his prey. In our lives he was king and clown. He is missed and has forever altered the lens through which we view that complicated relationship between ‘Man and his Dog’. The bar has been set… high. We have experienced unconditional devotion. Try again? No doubt we will. Because, that's what Duke would want. That’s the kind of dog Duke was. |
