Northern Virginia is home for me and my two Airedales, Katie and Sandy. Both are rescues from the Airedale Terrier Club of Metropolitan Washington, DC.

I got interested in rescue when I joined ATCMW with my 1st Airedale, Roxie.

I love the Airedale Quilting Bee! I have participated in 5 quilts so far beginning with “Airelifted”.

Beekeeper note:
This block is a remake of Jeanne's block which was taken from a private office.  A 2nd block had to be made by Carolyn Finlayson so that the quilt would not be delayed.  The Bee takes every precaution to make sure that these blocks are given all the care that beautiful works of art deserve. We can only apologize to Jeanne for the loss of her beautiful block and thank Carolyn for getting a block made so quickly so that quilt could be completed and presented as the 2010 Fundraising project.

I reside in Panama City Beach.  Located in the panhandle of Florida, we are known for our white sandy beaches and the beautiful Gulf of Mexico.

I lost my special Airedale girl, Miss Bugle Annie, to cancer in August 2009. I have two granddales, Rufus who is shown here with me and Casee who resides in Tallahassee, FL with my human grandchildren who are 14, 12 and 10 years old.  Rufus comes to work each day at the sign business and belongs to my son.  He is a big clown, greets the customers and begs for some of my lunch each day.

Rosie, my new little friend, is a Shorkie.  She was given to me because she was the runt of the litter and needed a good home.  She is a 5.5 lb bundle of energy and is 7 months old.  We spend lots of time playing together and she is a wonderful companion.  Quite a change after 40 years of Airedales but for now she is just right for me.

I am very proud of this group and all that we accomplish.  We work together as a team and our beloved Airedales benefit from the effort.
