I live in Buffalo, N.Y. with my husband Vinny, my
17 year old son, Ryan, our 2 Airedales, Henry & Augie and a plethora of
cats. Henry is 2 years old and we have had him since he was a puppy.
Augie is 5 and he joined our family in April, 2006 from Airedale Rescue
of Western NY. It has been a long journey for Augie and he has settled
into our family wonderfully. Henry & Augie are great pals and love to
play and cuddle.
I spend my free time painting pottery (Airedale
themed of course!), scrap booking, watching my son play hockey and
spending time with Henry & Augie. I also volunteer for Airedale Rescue
of WNY doing home visits, transports and manning information tables at
events. I just made a career change and began working as a Cosmetology
Educator for The Salon Professional Academy. This is a big change for me
and I’m looking forward to a new phase in my life.
This will be the fourth quilt that I have worked
on with the Bee. I enjoy doing the hand appliqué and consider it
artwork. It’s amazing how each of these beautiful quilts can be
completely planned via the internet. The Conformation block I have sewn
is based on an adorable drawing by Darle Heck. I believe that it shows
the fun loving personality of the Airedale Breed.
