Fagan was my first Airedale; indeed my first dog as an adult. Our meeting was fate. After calling several breeders looking for older returned or retired dogs, I gave up on getting an Airedale and went to the local shelter to get a dog. On my second visit, he was there. Not yet 2 years old, the shelter info said he had been turned in by his first family because he was too much for their older dog. Their loss was my gain. Fagan was a joy for the 14 years we shared our lives. Spirited and playful, intelligent and full of mischief, he was a fierce barker and guardian who wasn't above crawling into my lap when he felt picked on. This much-loved clown crossed the Rainbow Bridge in March 2002.

Airedale Information

The ATCA Rescue & Adoption Committee maintains and updates a network of contacts across the country to aid in the re-homing of purebred Airedale Terriers who are lost or abandoned. These contacts are volunteers located in several states, as well as Canada, working to help Airedales in need, adopting them to permanent loving homes.
