We picked up our adopted Airedale, Tori, from New England Airedale Rescue on New Years Eve 2001... what a great way to start off 2002!

Ours is Tori's third home, the first not working out (as far as we know) because of a family's need to move and the second because of incompatibility with the owner's German Shephard and travel schedule. She was on her best behavior in our home at first, but that didn't last long before the rambunctious 3, going on 4, year old let loose. She had endless energy chasing tennis balls at the beach, chasing the Kong at any opportunity, chasing chipmunks and squirrels in the yard, you get the picture... now as a 6+ year old she is slowing down a little, meaning she doesn't always wear us out first, but she still has the puppydog zeal for fun and games. She just loves to be with her family, especially if it involves a car ride, and we love that she's part of our family!

P.S. I laughed when I saw the picture on the ATCA rescue website of the Airedale lying on her back (on the red bed) with one paw sticking straight up in the air... I thought there was only one dog crazy enough to strike that pose, and I thought that dog was mine!
