Buster St. John
|Steve, I and our three Airedales were in Newark Ohio to socialize and compete with other Airedalers at the WOTA 2007. We had a great time meeting new friends and watching our favorite breed participate in all types of events.
Bridget and Buster were in the Parade of Rescues, Maddi and Buster passed their Canine Good Citizen tests, Maddi got her first leg towards a Rally Obedience title and Buster took first place in Novice Standard agility with a clean run in his very first trial ever!
Buster came home from WOTA with a very special award presented to him by Christie Williams on behalf of the Airedale Quilting Bee for his performance in agility. Buster is a rescue boy who came to us through Airedale Rescue and Adoption of the Delaware Valley and is now the proud owner of a beautiful small quilt taken from one of the blocks in the Vers-Airedale-ity quilt. The block features Christie's beloved rescue Erin weaving through agility poles. Erin crossed the Rainbow Bridge in November 2006 and I bet she was cheering Buster on as he started his clean run in Standards at the WOTA 2007. Thank you Christie and all the members of the Airedale Quilting Bee.
I am very proud of Buster's CGC - he came to us 4.5 years ago as a totally out-of-control crazy boy who had serious guarding issues and was too dog aggressive to bring him to obedience class. He got his name after breaking legs off of two small tables and giving me a black eye with his hard head. After working with him at home for two years, I started bringing him to classes, and he is a very good student and has come a long ways.
